The marketing and data analytics company is applying the practice of market segmentation to aid the travel brand’s Franchise Partners in locating and understanding their existing and potential customers, which will allow them to target marketing campaigns more precisely and effectively in every media channel.

With this strategic initiative, Environics Analytics has identified and analyzed different consumer segments within established territories, providing Franchise Partners with a detailed understanding of their customer’s background, cruising preferences, the social media channels they use, and how they’re affected by different marketing media. Informed by these customer segmentation reports, Expedia CruiseShipCenters Franchise Partners can now target their email marketing, digital marketing, and print marketing based on the concentration of consumer segments in their territory. This not only results in a higher rate of return on investment, but also ensures that each Center is sending out material and information about products that are of interest to consumers in their local community.

For potential franchisees entering the Expedia CruiseShipCenters system, the initiative will provide them with essential information to help make informed decisions of where to open their Center, as the segmentation reports will allow them to see which market areas have a higher density for potential customers.

Reflecting on another brilliant year

Expedia CruiseShipCenters had another stellar year expanding across North America in 2018. We gained more traction in our target states and were able to educate a growing market interested in the Expedia franchise opportunity. As we enter into our 32nd year in business, we are excited to announce another record year and looking forward to exciting things in 2019.

Celebrating milestones

In 2018, we opened 26 new Expedia CruiseShipCenters, bringing the total to over 280 retail locations across North America and welcomed over 2000 new Vacation Consultants totaling the network to 6,100+.  In the same year, we also awarded our 100th deal in the US, signed our first multi-unit franchise agreement and have grown 17% year over year.

With lots of room to grow in the US, our Centers are working to capture a major portion of the 30 million cruisers expected to cruise in 2019 as estimated by CLIA. Looking ahead, we are planning for huge growth with plans to open over 25 more franchise locations this year and are on track to reach our goal of opening 500 Centers in North America over the next 5 years. This is an exciting time to join the booming cruise industry with Expedia CruiseShipCenters as we continue to expand in communities all over the continent. We expect 2019 to be another high performing year, awarding both single and multi-unit franchises.

ATLANTA, Feb. 19, 2019/PRNewswire The top cruise travel agency franchise in North America, Expedia CruiseShipCenters, has just announced the signing of its first multi-unit franchise agreement. The multi-unit agreement will bring three new locations to Georgia over the next several years. Folded into an overall growth vision for the brand, the new multi-unit franchise opportunity provides motivated entrepreneurs an opportunity for aggressive business expansion. As Expedia CruiseShipCenters continues to expand its presence in North America, the company is on track to reach its goal of opening 500 North American locations in both Canada and the United States over the next five years.

The Georgia multi-unit agreement is spearheaded by husband and wife team, Wil and Ayten Mauk. The long-time residents of Atlanta will debut three new locations throughout the state by 2023. The first location is currently in development in the Dunwoody area and is slated to open April 2019. The new locations will join five existing Expedia CruiseShipCenters locations throughout Georgia in Alpharetta, Lakeland, Lawrenceville, Roswell and Sugar Hill.
